Danny Howard's Just A Normal Day took the biggest prize on offer on the day at Wexford when winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Opportunity Handicap Chase under Adam Short.

Shaded for favouritism at odds of 7/2, by Das Mooser (3/1), Just A Normal Day had a good wander to his left going to the last and could have run out, before straightening up for a five and a half length win over Burning Issues

Aforementioned market-leader Das Mooser faded into sixth place.

"That was great. Ciara (Daffy) has done an awful lot of work with this fellow, and she is over in California watching in. Ciara's mother Annette owns him, so he is a family horse," said Howard.

"He has been knocking on the door and while it probably wasn't the strongest race in the world we could do with a few more of them. He has had three runs now in the last couple of weeks, so we might give him a few weeks off and see what turns up.

"He'll stay over fences and is running well off his mark. The handicapper will hardly crucify him for that.

"He had a bit of a look coming to the last but I suppose he was getting a bit lonely and tired in front."
