Hughes banned for Newmarket Richard Hughes misses the Newmarket July meeting after landing a seven-day ban at Windsor on Monday night. Hughes was riding Puttingonthestyle in the Fee Group PLC Maiden Stakes and cut in front of Mrs Dee Bee who clipped heels and fell. The stewards found Hughes guilty of careless riding and that he had caused considerable interference. The suspension runs from July 5-9 and 11-12 as there is no Flat racing on July 10. He was already banned on July 4.
