Hughes booked for Sandiva Richard Hughes has received a late call-up to ride Sandiva in the Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp tomorrow. With Sheikh Joann al Thani's number one jockey Frankie Dettori forced on to the sidelines when fracturing his ankle at Nottingham on Wednesday, trainer Richard Fahey had provisionally engaged Ryan Moore to ride the filly in the Group One contest, along with stablemate Garswood in the Prix de la Foret. But a further change of plan will now see Hughes - who has ridden before in the colours of Sheikh Joann, most notably when partnering Toronado - take the reins. "We initially thought Ryan was going to be available, but he's been claimed by Ballydoyle to ride - however Richard will be an excellent deputy," said Fahey.
