Hughes pair ready for the Moriarty Dessie Hughes is set to be double-handed in the Dr PJ Moriarty Chase with Magnanimity and Western Charmer both set to line up at Leopardstown on Sunday. Magnanimity was last see lowering the colours of Gordon Elliott's Grade One winner Jessies Dream early last month. The seven-year-old will be given an entry in the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival but Hughes is also considering stepping him up in trip for the four-mile National Hunt Chase. "I'll probably have to run the two of them which is never ideal but it's worth a lot of money and both of them deserve their chance," said Hughes. "Magnanimity didn't get much credit for winning last time but we thought he'd run well. Actually, before the race I didn't think the trip would be far enough for him, but we got away with it. "I was thinking about maybe waiting for the Ten Up over three miles at Navan (February 13) but I think Michael (O'Leary, owner) would like to run. "We'll put him in both the RSA Chase and the four-miler at Cheltenham - I think the four-miler would be a nice race for him." Western Charmer was last seen finishing second to Quito De La Roque over three miles at Naas and Hughes believes the step back in trip will be in his favour. "Western Charmer is good and healthy this year so he should run well. The trip will probably suit him slightly better as he has plenty of pace," he added. Only seven were left in the Grade One event at the latest stage, with Willie Mullins also providing two contenders. Mullins' Mikael D'Haguenet is on something of a retrieval mission after finishing only fifth over two miles at Christmas having fallen on his first start over fences in Ireland when looking a likely winner previously. Stablemate Quel Esprit is also due to line up having won his only start over fences so far at Limerick. Jessica Harrington's Grade One-winner Bostons Angel, Paul Nolan's Sam Adams and Bill Harney's Kakagh complete the field.
