Huntingdon today under threat

This afternoon's meeting at Huntingdon is still in doubt with a 10am precautionary inspection announced due to the risk of flooding.

Although the track was raceable after clerk of the course Andrew Morris staged an 8am inspection, there is still a lingering threat to today's National Hunt fixture in Cambridgeshire.

A track press release read: "The track is raceable, however the site is at risk of flooding.

"We have called a precautionary inspection for 10am. The levels of the surrounding brooks has risen considerably overnight, giving us concern.

"Conditions will be monitored over the course of the next two hours and a further assessment will be made at 10am."
