Reigning Champion Hurdle winner Hurricane Fly could begin the new campaign at Punchestown next month.
The Grade One Morgiana Hurdle on November 20th is the race trainer Willie Mullins has in mind as the starting point for the seven-year-old.
The Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse in December, which he won last year, is another option.
"The Morgiana is the obvious race to start off. We'll have that at the back of our minds and see how we go," Mullins told At The Races.
"He missed it last year because he had a bit of a cough, so he will probably go there or he could go for the Hatton's Grace over two and a half miles.
"I don't see any reason to change his programme from last year. Fingers crossed he could have another good year."
The County Carlow trainer ruled out a clash between Hurricane Fly and his brilliant mare Quevega.
Her campaign will be geared around trying to win the David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham for the fourth year running.
"I've been chatting to the owners and we'll probably do the same thing again," he went on.
"We'll be happy if we can go over to Cheltenham and go for the mares' hurdle again. We'd be delighted."
