Illuminate set for Royal Ascot Illuminate is on course for the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot. The Richard Hannon-trained filly made a startling impression on her debut at Salisbury, beating stablemate Great Page easily. That form has been made to look very good as Great Page travelled to Ireland to win a Listed race by three lengths earlier this week. Illuminate's debut win came over five furlongs but she will step up in trip next time. "The thinking is she will go for the Albany," said Paul Webber, racing manager to owner Denford Stud. "The form took a huge boost on Monday and time may tell it was too good to be true from our point of view, but it certainly was pleasing. "I spoke to Richard a few days ago and we were thinking of the Albany rather than the Queen Mary, but plans can always change. "She won't run before, it will be straight to Ascot now."
