Immutable has Murphy on an upward curve Immutable (25/1) battled past Yousaynothingatall to win the Petingo Handicap at Leopardstown for Joe Murphy and Luke McAteer. He was never far from the pace in this big field and he was ridden to close as the field arrived at the '2' marker. Yousaynothingatall hit the front a furlong out and was boxing on gamely, however, Immutable was being stoked up by McAteer and the pair got the better of Yousaynothingatall and Oisin Murphy close home to win by a neck. The runner-up went off at 6/1 and the remaining places were occupied by Too Bossy For Us (11/1) and The Reverend (14/1) in third and fourth respectively. “He’s a fantastic horse. We bought him as a foal and he’s been a great horse for us,” said Murphy. “He has a screw in a pastern and we gave him a year-and-a-half off, but it never took from his ability. He’s a lovely horse to have. “Now he gets into the Cesarewitch so that’s another plan. The one thing I do have in mind for him is the Hurdle in Galway next year. I’ll have two pillows to dream on! “We were worried about the ground, with his pastern, and we were 50/50. “Luke decided there was no pace and he went on, we knew the horse would stay. "It's wonderful to have a winner on Champions Weekend." The yard has endured a tough year and Murphy added: “When you are training for that many years you have ups and downs, and you learn how to deal with them. “The great thing about the downs is there is always an up!” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
