In-Foal Sharlanda Primed For Wexford Trainer Colin Bowe is expecting his in-form mare Sharlanda to give another good account of herself in the Sulzer Novice Chase at Wexford on Saturday. The seven-year-old has run four times since joining the Enniscorthy-based trainer from the now-retired Colm Murphy, winning three times and finishing third once. After making a successful debut for the stable over hurdles at Gowran Park, Sharlanda was placed at Limerick and returned to the same venue to win emphatically by 16 lengths over fences. She reverted to the smaller obstacles at Downpatrick last month, winning well, and takes on seven rivals over two miles this weekend. Bowe said: "She's in good form, jumps well and the ground should be fine for her. "It's a good little race, but options are limited as she's in foal to Ol' Man River, so we're against the clock. "I think she only has 15 or 20 days left to run, so we'll try to make the most of her." Sharlanda's opponents in the €15,000 contest include the talented but frustrating Dicosimo, who represents Willie Mullins and Paul Townend, Liam Kenny's recent Kilbeggan scorer A Rated and the Seamus Neville-trained Ask Nile. Mullins introduces Flat recruit Glorious Legend to the jumping game in the opening Audrey McGrath Memorial Maiden Hurdle. The son of Pour Moi was a winner on the Flat for Ed Walker last autumn and with the champion trainer in fine form and Ruby Walsh on board, he is bound to be popular with punters. The four-year-old is unlikely to have it all his own way, however, with Gordon Elliott's Skeaping and Successor from Joseph O'Brien's yard both holding an experience edge and bringing decent placed form to the table. High Nellie, only narrowly denied on her latest outing at Tramore, has a good opportunity to go one better in the M2 Construction Mares Maiden Hurdle.
