Fresh from the second treble of his career at Dundalk yesterday, Eddie Lynam had news of his possible runners for the second day of Irish Champions Weekend at the Curragh on Sunday week.

The 5-year-old Raven’s Pass mare Romantic Proposal has won four times for the Dunshaughlin trainer, including a Listed win on Irish Derby weekend, and has a choice of engagements this month back at headquarters.

“She’s training well and will run at the Curragh either Champions Weekend for the Flying Five or two weeks later in the Renaissance Stakes.

“She looked a bit unlucky the last day (third to Mooneista in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes) and you’d like another go at it.”

Lynam landed the Bold Lad handicap in 2018 with subsequent Group 2 winner Soffia and has a few horses lined up for this year's renewal.

“We’ll run a few in the Bold Lad — Jon Riggens, Rough Diamond and Major Power who won the Scurry. Those three will run and Heavenly Power is down at the bottom of the weights so I don’t know if he’ll run.

“Jon Riggens looked nice the last day (when beating subsequent maiden winner Heavenly Power at the Curragh) but they were ordinary horses and he got a big hike (7lb) for it. We’ll see how we go the next day but he’s training well.”
