Ina Set Fair For Cork

Fair Ina, the latest of a remarkable set of performers for the County Tipperary-based Bowe family, could make her next appearance this weekend.

A half-sister to the brilliant Solerina and useful Florida Coast, the six-year-old mare appears to have inherited the same tough attributes as her siblings.

And in typical family style, she made all the running at Punchestown on New Year's Eve to break her duck in a 25-runner bumper.

Trainer Michael Bowe said: 'She is like an exaggerated version of Solerina in the way she behaves and the conditions she needs ? I only hope she ends up having the exaggerated ability too!

'She handles heavy ground and she looks a staying hurdling type, although she's just a baby at the moment.

'From what I've seen, she looks very, very promising, and she may well go for a winner's bumper at Cork this weekend. Otherwise there is another one in two weeks.'
