Trainer Fozzy Stack bagged his eighth winner in the past 11 days when his Star Of Cashel brought up his own treble at Killarney today, winning the MC Construction Handicap under jockey Paddy Harnett.

The son of No Nay Never was one of six horses to have won for the Co Tipperary trainer since July 2 and today followed up wins at Naas and Roscommon with a last-gasp win under Harnett.

Star Of Cashel was today drawn wide in 15 and while victory looked unlikely with a furlong to race, the colt responded gamely to edge ahead close home and score a half length win over Zoom Zoom Babe

Stack later reported “he did extraordinarily well to win from a wide draw as the race keeps happening away from you down on the inside.

“I was worried that I was being greedy running again but it worked out.”
