Sweeney's chaser may well appreciate further The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Handicap chase was the feature at Navan and 3/1 favourite Showurappreciation showed stamina in abundance to score under Mark Walsh. Gordon Elliott's Kish Bank moved to the front three out and soon asserted. Showurappreciation was a little untidy at the second-last, but soon moved into second and the Flat-bred gelding powered home on the run-in to head Kish Bank and post a length and three-quarters victory. The J.P. McManus homebred was completing a hat-trick after a chase win at Punchestown and a hurdles win at this venue. Trainer Jonathan Sweeney said "Unbelievable ride! Absolutely top-class. Some ride, you'd say going down the back 'where is this fella gonna finish?' He left them all at it. "He (Walsh) said jumping the second-last with a circuit to go that he kind of over-jumped it. He gave himself a right fright  and he said he was jumping high and landing steep."  When asked about the Irish Grand National, he said: "He's in it, that's two weeks' time. I'll talk to Frank (Berry) and we'll see what Mr McManus wants to do - probably too soon. We'll see.  "This was kind of a plan, and it worked out. We'll take today for today and we'll see. The ground is tightening up as well and he likes it soft.  "Fair play to Mr McManus and Frank - he won his maiden hurdle in Ballinrobe and he got a very bad injury. He was nearly two years off the track, but there was never a panic. He got top-class treatment. They are a brilliant outfit."  Additional reporting by Michael Graham
