Inis Mor set to be supplemented for Irish Oaks David Menuisier is likely to supplement Inis Mor for the Juddmonte Irish Oaks at the Curragh on Saturday week. With the backing of owners Quantum Leap Racing, the €50,000 supplementary fee will be paid as the Galiway filly runs in her third Classic of the season. She finished down the field in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, but stepped up to 10 furlongs in France for the Prix de Diane she finished a very respectable third behind Diamond Necklace. Now she is likely to come up against Thundering On, winner of the Oaks at Epsom but beaten in the interim back over 10 furlongs. “We are looking at the idea of supplementing her for the Irish Oaks next weekend,” Menuisier told Racing TV. “It will be fascinating. Quantum Leap are always looking for those Group One fillies and this is the last Classic of the season for fillies so I think we are very likely to give it a go. “If she stays a mile and a half we will have lots of other options, that is why it is important to try now, especially as she is more settled in her races. Then we can see how to design the rest of the season for her, whether to go back to one-mile-two or stay over one-mile-four.”
