Denis Hogan's stable star Inis Meain is enjoying a well-deserved break before aiming at bigger targets later in the year.

The seven-year-old rarely runs a bad race, although he was never travelling when a disappointing favourite at the Punchestown Festival.

Hogan said: "He's on a break and we'll probably look at an autumn campaign with him.

"He won't be going to Royal Ascot. We just about got away with it last year, but the ground will be too fast for him.

"He could be one for the Irish Leger, but there's also a Listed race at Galway in August to think about."

Prior to Punchestown, the Bernstein gelding had won the Alleged Stakes at the Curragh and finished a close third in the Martin Molony at Limerick.

He was also an excellent third to Jetson over hurdles at Punchestown in February.
