Inspection called at Downpatrick Officials at Downpatrick are hopeful that tomorrow's meeting will go ahead, although a precautionary inspection has been called for 7am. The threat of an overnight frost has prompted the action at the Ulster venue and precautions are being taken. Frost covers are in place and the course is currently raceable with the ground described as yielding to soft. The first on a six race card is due to get underway at 12.30pm. "They say they are optimistic. They are told it could get down to minus two tonight. If it's not any worse than that they say they will be fine," said Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone. "They have frost covers in place on the take off and landing sides on the chase and hurdle tracks. They are optimistic."
