The Aidan O’Brien-trained Institute (11/8) got punters off to a flying start in Dundalk with a commanding victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden over five furlongs.

The daughter of Frankel has been a frustrating sort to follow with plenty of good runs hitting the crossbar, but with some solid form in the bank.

She found it much easier on the front end today, travelling and arriving to the front with just over a furlong and a half left. Wayne Lordan was happy to push her out to the line to gain victory by two and a half lengths.

"She has a very nice pedigree, and she has been knocking on the door," said Lordan.

"She actually enjoys this place up here. She travelled really well and, when I let her down, she went forward and got to the line well.

"She's naturally a quick filly.

"There's every chance (she will go forward from that) - as you can see, she is quite a big filly and she was always a tad on the weaker side, but she is after filling out into that big frame and getting a bit stronger. Hopefully, there's a step forward now."
