Interesting Silver Stakes in prospect Fozzy Stack's Carlo Biraghi is one of several entries for the McDonnell's Bar June Fest Silver Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday that hold an engagement in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby. The Galileo colt was unraced as a juvenile but made a hugely impressive winning debut at the Curragh last month. One with a similar profile is Dermot Weld’s Broad Street. Another unraced at two, the son of Sea The Stars was a winner at Navan on his racecourse bow. Like Carlo Biraghi, he was put in the Irish Derby at the second entry stage. Weld has also entered Aztec Eagle, another to have won his only race on the Flat, although he actually ran in a bumper before that, while Burgundy Boy also represents Rosewell House. Joseph O’Brien has the option of running Dynabee, a filly who has won her only race to date and is in the Irish Oaks. Of those with established form, Ger Lyons’ Mustajeer, a five-year-old, brings the best to the race having been beaten only two lengths in the Mooresbridge Stakes. Jim Bolger’s Theobald, seventh in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, and Aidan O’Brien’s Giuseppe Garibaldi are also among 15 possibles.
