Al Kazeem will run in the Juddmonte International Stakes at York on August 21.

Although the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown remains an option three weeks later, the high-class entire will first head to Yorkshire for the esteemed Group One over a mile and a quarter.

Owner John Deer said: "That (York) is the plan and he's in training for that race.

"Fingers crossed he gets there in one piece and the ground is perfect for him.

"He's in all the big races, including the Irish Champion, so everything is under consideration before we decide whether to run in the Arc."

Al Kazeem, trained in Beckhampton by Roger Charlton, has been in astounding form this season, with three successive Group One triumphs in the Tattersalls Gold Cup, the Prince of Wales's Stakes and the Coral-Eclipse.

The five-year-old son of Dubawi had been under consideration for the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth at Ascot last weekend, but Deer has no regrets about side-stepping that engagement.

He said: "He's had a well-earned rest and I think it's wise to keep him at a mile and a quarter for now.

"Hopefully he'll come back from his break as good as ever."
