Inthenickoftime justified a short price when following up his recent win over course and distance to land the SIS Supporting Irish Racing Handicap Hurdle at Galway.

Sent off 1/1f under Peter Smithers, the Enda Bolger trained grey never gave favourite backers too many anxious moments as he travelled easily throughout.

Tracking the leaders in the early stages, Smithers elected to wait for a gap up the inside rail entering the home straight.

Leading at the final flight, the JP McManus owned six-year-old quickened up smartly to score by two-and-a-half lengths.

Enda Bolger said: "That's his third win around here(also won over fences at track last October) and the hill seems to suit him. He needed the hill here the last day and the slower ground was a help today.

"Peter gave the horse a peach of a ride."
