Iowa well backed for return to Down Royal

Ulster Derby winner Iowa has been well backed ahead of his return to Down Royal this evening.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt lines up in the featured race, Her Majesty's Plate, and was backed from 9/2 into as short as 6/4 favourite. He is currently a best priced 2/1.

Iowa was an impressive winner of the venue's big Flat handicap last month and tackles Listed company for the first time now.

Last year's winner of the race, Master Of Reality is a 9/4 shot having been the early 7/4 favourite.

In the following apprentice handicap New Society is all the rage. Having been backed from 7/1 Keith Watson's charge is now best priced 3/1 having been as short as 7/4.

In the five furlong handicap Twenty Minutes has also attracted plenty of support.

The Damian English-trained gelding was 11/1 this morning and is now generally 9/2.
