Iridescent (7/1) made it three wins from his last four starts with a battling success in the Elevate Financial Planning Opportunity Handicap Chase.

Kieran Callaghan, who was on board when the nine-year-old won over hurdles at Ballinrobe in May and over fences at Downpatrick the following month, let the winner stride to the front on the approach to the straight but the pair were narrowly headed by Downtown Queen between the final two fences.

After a good tussle from the last, Iridescent's spirited rally saw him home in front by half-a-length from Downtown Queen.

Winning trainer Jonathan Fogarty: "I'm delighted for his owners (Touch Of Luck Syndicate) who are all from Wexford and it's lovely to get a winner at our local track. We will see how he comes out of this and I'll try pick something out for him then."
