Irish dominant at Perth Perth, so often a happy hunting ground for Gordon Elliott, again was the scene of a profitable evening for the Cullentra handler on Tuesday as he registered a treble. The programme was topped off for the Irish as John McConnell got in on the act too with Blue Ridge Lane. Elliott and Robbie Hennessy had winners at the Scottish track yesterday as High Expectations and Ultra Light scored. Today Elliott helped Richard Johnson to a double with Taglietelle and I C Gold whilst champion point-to-point jockey Jamie Codd took over on Balbriggan who justified odds-on favouritism in the finale. Meanwhile McConnell put Mark Bolger up on stable stalwart Blue Ridge Lane and he came out best in the novices' handicap hurdle by seven lengths.
