The Irish challengers have been limbering up on the track ahead of the the Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan on Saturday.

Edward Lynam's Sole Power had light exercise on Thursday morning and "continues to please" his work-rider, Julie Vovchok, as he aims to go one better than 12 months ago.

Aidan O'Brien's Starspangledbanner trotted in the quarantine barn, but will take to the main track at Meydan on Friday.

Mick Halford's duo of Russian Soul and Invincible Ash both worked on the main turf track on Wednesday and were on Thursday splashing around in the on-site swimming pool.

Halford said: "Russian Soul had a nice blow on Wednesday and is progressing all the time.

"He must progress again to get involved but he has it in him to do that.

"The longer Invincible Ash, is here the more she comes to herself, and this year is no different. She is looking and doing better all the time."
