Irish raiders target Falmouth Two Irish raiders, John Oxx's Ballycorus Stakes winner Alanza and the very smart Maybe for Aidan O'Brien, will try to win Friday's Group 1 Etihad Airways Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket. Golden Lilac, reported by Andre Fabre to be the best filly he has ever trained, is likely to be a short-priced favourite for the Group One event after beating Cirrus Des Aigles on her reappearance in the Prix d'Ispahan. She also won the French Oaks and Guineas last season. John Gosden has declared both Windsor Forest Stakes scorer Joviality (William Buick) and Group One-winning two-year-old Elusive Kate (Frankie Dettori), while Windsor Forest runner-up Chachamaidee is in opposition. However, Gosden decided against running his Coronation Stakes heroine Fallen For You. Two more runners will travel over from France in the shape of Francois Doumen's Group Two-placed Siyouma and the lightly-raced Giofra from the Alain de Royer-Dupre stable. Barefoot Lady, Lay Time and Irish History complete a strong line-up. Clinical, Emulous, Moonstone Magic and Samitar were among those not declared.
