Irish success cross-channel Andrew Lynch made his first ride at Wetherby a winning one on Stuart Crawford's Suzy's Music in the EBF/TBA Mares' Novices' Handicap Chase. A point-to-point winner, the 5-2 chance was making her chasing debut under Rules off the back of some less than inspiring form over hurdles, but Lynch pounced late to beat long-time leader Lily Little Legs and Brian Hughes. "I just said to Andrew it's about time he got one over on Brian as normally when we come over Brian beats us," said Crawford. "We came over yesterday, it's not as easy a journey as Ayr or Musselburgh but it's not too bad, we got here for 11.30pm. "She's not a bad mare, she's just been unlucky a few times. It gets to the point when you have to stop saying they've been unlucky but she needs decent ground. "She was lucky to win her point when the leader fell at the last but she's a decent jumper."
