JEFFERSON MAY TARGET SANDOWN FOR HURDLE STAR Malcolm Jefferson`s Smurfit Champion Hurdle hope Dibea Times is being considered for Saturday`s Sunderland Imperial Cup at Sandown but only as a precaution against the Cheltenham Festival not going ahead.Dibea Times was shrewdly bought by Ray Anderson Green after scoring at 100-1 at Auteuil, and he has impressed in completing a hat-trick - two wins at Newcastle and one at Kelso - since joining Jefferson.The Malton trainer explained: 'He would only run on Saturday if Cheltenham was called off before he had to be declared for Sandown on Friday morning, the Champion is the target.'We have been able to keep going alright despite the cold weather and the horse is in good form - he is a big strong horse and is ready to run in a Champion Hurdle.'Obviously it will not be as hard a task now that Istabraq is not running so we are hoping for a good run from Dibea. Graham Lee will ride.'
