On this week's episode of ‘The Jockey Angle', brought to you by William Hill, Paddy Flood selects a smashing ride from Tramore from Ian Power aboard Rattledelatch, a sweet win from Cork for Mark Walsh and a horse with the X-factor from Ballydoyle.

Race replays are FREE to watch from all Irish tracks and a selection of premier British tracks sponsored by William Hill.

Paddy Flood's Analysis

Group One action from Newmarket, the Darley Dewhurst Stakes.

What a race it was, two really good colts going at it: Darkness Falls and Desert Castle.

For me now, there wasn't a whole pile in this going into the race. Darkness Falls was backed so well in Leopardstown when he won over nine furlongs. I thought he must have been doing something very special at home for the money that came because, at the time, if you remember, Aidan's horses were a little bit hit and miss. There was a question mark over their fitness and their health.

Darkness Falls stepping back to seven furlongs from nine furlongs, that takes a lot of doing. It's his first time in Newmarket too.

We thought we had two pacemakers, but Darkness Falls pings the lid so well that he lands in a beautiful position.

William Buick would have been very, very happy on Desert Castle, and the pacemaker there is going at a nice, even speed.

What I really like is this is a Camelot colt called Darkness Falls, and he's coming back from nine to seven. Just have a look at how well he travels there in Ryan Moore's hands.

The Camelots do stay, but this fella might just have that X-factor. He might just have that speed and stamina, and he just looks so straightforward to me that he could be a star.

We're talking about Triple Crowns already. He's probably favourite for the Guineas. If you were to give me any horse at this stage of the year, I think I'd take this guy because Aidan's two-year-old colts maybe have been a bit hit and miss, and this guy hasn't. This guy has just kept improving.

He's probably favourite for a Derby. He's probably favourite for the Guineas as well, but off of that performance, he deserves to be. The Dewhurst is always a really good race to gauge form from, and he's come through with flying colours.

Next year's Guineas, he'd be the horse I'd love to be on.
