Sean O'Keeffe made all aboard the Willie Martin trained Jumbos Jet to win the Watch Danny's Diary @ToteRacing Mares Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel.

Runner-up at Wexford in March, the Paddy McDonald owned 3/1 chance went one better under a well judged front running ride.

With the final two flights omitted due to low lying sun, Jumbos Jet was strongly pressed by Crossbar Getaway on the run to the bypassed final hurdle.

Despite hanging right on the run-in, the eventual winner kept up the gallop to score by one-and-a-quarter lengths.

Michael Martin, son of the winning trainer said: "She is very hard on herself, she pulls hard but has kept improving. At home, we knew she had improved and while we were concerned about the ground, in fairness to Paddy (McDonald, owner from nearby Barntown, Wexford), he kept her in and kept her going.

"She can stay in novice races now for the whole season and she is going home tomorrow for the summer, so hopefully will come back a stronger mare."
