Jockey Angle: 'At the two pole Colin Keane is hard on the bridle, that’s a well above average horse' Push The Boat Out made an impressive winning debut for Michael O'Callaghan at the Curragh last week and certainly caught the eye of Paddy Flood, our lead race analyst on this week's Jockey Angle. While the two-year-old son of Kodi Bear did it easily, Flood was particularly taken with his professionalism for a juvenile first time out on a racecourse. Race replays are FREE to watch from all Irish tracks and a selection of premier British tracks sponsored by William Hill. Paddy Flood’s analysis You can see Colin Keane's body language here. Most people around Colin are starting to get a touch lower in the saddle and starting to force the horse forward. He's actually leaning back and slowing his horse down - that's how easy he's going. At the two pole in the Curragh, Colin, is hard on the bridle. I'd say that’s a well above average horse. This horse is going really, really well, but it's his first time out, and when he comes off the bridle I wonder will he wobble - because a lot of horses, up the straight in the Curragh, it's a big wide-open space, they do tend to, when you get down and get gritty with them, have a look around. It's obviously their first day of school, so they'll have a look around. This grey colt - if you see him there, look where his head is. His ears are pinned flat back, and he literally runs like that all the way to the line. Watch the full analysis of Colin Keane’s ride It was a really, really strong showing from a two-year-old, first time out, to be able to do that at the Curragh. I think this one is well above average. By god, they'll be excited about this one. And Michael O'Callaghan did say after that the horse wasn't fully wound up. So if he gets fully wound up and improves again, he could go all the way to the top. That's the stuff you dream of.
