Jockey Smithers continues good recent form Five-pounds claimer Peter Smithers continued his fine recent spell when landing Ballinrobe’s Jerry McDonnell Memorial Handicap Hurdle today, scoring on the Harry Kelly-trained Princess Felicia (3/1f). By the same sire Jukebox Jury as Champion Chaser Il Etait Temps, the Andria Kemp-owned mare shed her maiden tag today, when racing prominently and scoring comfortably from Joshua Chamberlain . It was Smithers’ fifth winner from ten rides this month and afterwards trainer Kelly commented “she'd a good first run for us in Clonmel last year but has small feet and the ground went for her. Her owner Andria and Johnny Cummins do some pre-training, so took her home for the winter. "When she came back to me, she'd got a lot stronger and it took just a while to get her ready.
