Jockeys donate fees to Haiti appeal

Jockeys at both today's Irish meetings are donating riding fees to the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

Barry Geraghy revealed today that all professional jockeys would donate a fee and anyone with more than two rides would give up two fees.

He expects 42 fees in total at Leopardstown while valet Dave Fox has also pledged €250.

Trainer Robbie Hennessy has also offered to give any percentage of winnings earned by his horses today to the fund.

Geraghty hopes that in total around €5,500 will be raised for the appeal at Leopardstown.
