John Durkan option for Disko Disko could return to action at Punchestown on Sunday week in the John Durkan Chase. The seven-year-old has been off the track since winning a Grade Two event at Down Royal last November, but he was twice successful at the highest level during his novice campaign. Trainer Noel Meade is now mulling a Grade One return for him at Punchestown. He said: “Disko might run in the John Durkan — we’ll see how the next week goes.” There is plenty of Grade One action on offer at Fairyhouse this Sunday and while Tu Va handler entered Brace Yourself, he will not be lining up in the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle. Meade said: “Brace Yourself won’t run in the Royal Bond. I think we’ll wait for the two-and-a-half-mile novice hurdle in Navan.”
