Kerry Lee could look to options in Ireland for Top Gamble if conditions prove unsuitable at Ascot next weekend.

Lee hopes to run her Grade Two-winning nine-year-old in the Christy 1965 Chase, for what would be the seasonal return of the Queen Mother Champion Chase fourth, who was last seen finishing sixth to Fox Norton at Aintree in April.

Punchestown, Cork and Sandown offer other possibilities.

Lee said: "We are thinking of Ascot next weekend, but we won't run him if the ground is quick as he needs proper mud.

"If the rain doesn't come there, we have the John Durkan, the Hilly Way and the Tingle Creek.

"They are the next three races on the list if Ascot doesn't come right for him."
