Classic winning Flat jockey Joseph O'Brien is to miss the start of the Flat season, instead taking his first ride over hurdles on his father Aidan O'Brien's Egyptian Warrior in the Family Fun Day Rated Novice Hurdle at Limerick on Sunday.

O'Brien had hinted in recent weeks about the possibility of taking rides over jumps and the dual Champion Flat Jockey will on Sunday partner the J.P. McManus owned six year old in the 2m4f contest.
