Junior Shortens For Eclipse Glory

David Junior is the 11-8 favourite from 6-4 with the sponsors to gain revenge on Ouija Board in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown on Saturday.

The pair are among 13 possibles for the 10-furlong event at the five-day stage, with Blue Monday and Snoqualmie Boy being supplemented at a cost of #20,000 to connections.

Ouija Board and David Junior were first and fourth respectively in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot, while Aidan O'Brien, who won the Eclipse last year with Oratorio, has four horses still engaged ? French 2000 Guineas winner Aussie Rules, Ace, Arabian Prince and Hurricane Cat.

Sir Michael Stoute could be double-handed with Notable Guest and Notnowcato standing their ground, while Yasoodd, Hattan and Royal Alchemist complete the list of possibles.

Notable withdrawals include Stoute's Hardwicke Stakes winner Maraahel, Prince Of Wales's runner-up Electrocutionist and unlucky Derby fourth Hala Bek.
