Justenzia tastes victory for the first time Justenzia put in a good shift with first-time cheekpieces to annex the Suir Blueway Handicap at Clonmel off top-weight of 10st 2lb. The 4/1 shot tracked Deep Vein and she was positioned in third at the halfway stage behind new leader Lady Luck and the aforementioned Deep Vein. Joey Sheridan niggled Justenzia along and she came back on the bridle to hit the front over two furlongs out. Miss Americana looked the danger out wide a furlong and a-half down, however, Justenzia rolled home best in the closing stages to see it out by a length and a-quarter. Runner-up Miss Americana was a17/2 chance and was the same distance ahead of Kodi Brown at 11/1. Denis Hogan said: "Ross Doyle recommended her to Colm Sharkey, so I have to thank both. Ross said she'd make a lovely dual-purpose type and this is great. "The handicapper reassessed everything recently and gave her a chance by dropping her 2lb and letting her into this low-grade event. It was a nice starting point and I hope she'll make a hurdler in time. "Joey gave her a lovely ride and kept it simple. "She is in a 1m1f handicap at Punchestown on Tuesday, so we'll see and Listowel is also a possibility." She scored in the colours of Premier Racing Club. The Ghaiyyath filly got off the mark at the eighth time of asking - second run in Ireland after six in Britain for Richard Hannon. Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
