Juveigneur misses Irish National English raider Juveigneur is to miss out on a second try in the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National Chase at Fairyhouse on Monday. Nicky Henderson would like a little more time to prepare his old stager, who was pulled-up in the race a year ago. "He won´t run as he´s not quite ready," said the Lambourn trainer. "I think we´ll have a look at the Scottish National instead." Amazingly, Juveigneur has just two victories to show for his time with Henderson, one being in a weakly-contested Plumpton novice hurdle, the other in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival. However, he has been placed in the old Whitbread Gold Cup, the Hennessy, the Welsh National and twice in the William Hill Trophy at Cheltenham. Sponsors Coral make the 11-year-old a 20-1 chance for the Scottish National at Ayr on April 19th after he was an encouraging fourth in the Sky Bet Chase on his latest start.
