KATARINO SET FOR FONTWELL COMEBACK Katarino looks likely to make his belated seasonal debut in the Collins Stewart National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell on Monday. The 1999 Triumph Hurdle winner failed to recapture his best form after finishing second at Auteuil on his first run of last term and has since undergone a wind operation. The Rendlesham Hurdle at Kempton a week on Saturday is also an option for the six-year-old, for whom a planned chasing campaign has been postponed. However, trainer Nicky Henderson said today: 'He`ll probably run at Fontwell. He`s coming back to himself and he`s in good form. 'He had a wind operation and he`s done a fair bit of work. 'He`ll also be put in the Rendlesham but at the moment he`s going to Fontwell.' Katarino is entered in both the Smurfit Champion Hurdle and Bonusprint Stayers` Hurdle at next month`s Cheltenham Festival. Henderson prefers the latter option but no decision will be made until after he has run. 'We`ll see how he runs before we decide on Cheltenham and see how his breathing is,' Henderson added. 'The Stayers` Hurdle is what I`m after.' No final decision has been made on whether stablemate Landing Light, winner of the Tote Gold Trophy at Newbury last Saturday, will take his chance in the Champion Hurdle. Henderson said: 'Landing Light is 100 per cent and there`s plenty of time to decide before Cheltenham.'
