Kalanisi hit by injury Kalanisi has sustained a hairline crack to his near-fore shin, trainer Sir Michael Stoute revealed today. Last season`s Breeders` Cup Turf hero finished two and a half lengths second to Fantastic Light in the Prince Of Wales`s Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday, after occupying third spot behind the same horse in the Tattersalls Gold Cup in Ireland last month. 'It is not a good time of year for this to happen,' said Stoute. As well as his famous victory at Churchill Downs, the Aga Khan`s colt also landed the Dubai Champion Stakes as well as running Giant`s Causeway desperately close in the Juddmonte International and Coral-Eclipse Stakes.
