Kalkir to Spring into action Willie Mullins wants to see Kalkir get back to winning ways in the Gala Retail Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown on February 8. One of the ante-post favourites for the JCB Triumph Hurdle after an impressive win on his debut for the yard, he was put in his place next time out. He had no answer to Des McDonogh's Fiscal Focus in a Grade Two at the Christmas meeting but Mullins has not lost any faith. "Kalkir will run in the Grade One on the 8th," he said on At The Races. "I need to see him get back to the form he showed first time out. "The first two pulled 18 lengths clear of the third so it might be that the winner is a very good horse."
