Katarino impresses on chasing debut Katarino bounced back to his brilliant best to make a winning debut over fences in the Daily Telegraph Fulke Walwyn Novices` Chase at Newbury today. The former top-class juvenile hurdler has been troubled by breathing problems for the past couple of seasons but showed no ill effects from a number of operations by bounding clear of Mr Cool under Norman Williamson.Winning trainer Nicky Henderson breathed a sigh of relief and declared: 'It`s lovely to see him back as we`ve been two years tinkering wit his breathing and trying to get it right.'But he`s loved it out there today and on that he`ll get three miles so I suppose we`ll go for the Feltham Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day next.'Bookmaker reaction to the impressive victory was immediate with Coral cutting the winner to 16-1 from 20-1 for the Royal & SunAlliance Chase at Cheltenham next March.
