Kauto Hennessy decision tomorrow A decision on whether Kauto Star goes for the Hennessy Gold Cup before aiming for a fifth successive victory in the King George VI Chase is expected on Monday. Trainer Paul Nicholls is worried the prospect of a hard race in the staying handicap chase at Newbury on November 27th might damage the dual Gold Cup hero's prospects for Kempton on Boxing Day. However, Nicholls and the ace chaser's owner Clive Smith are to discuss the matter on Monday morning. "I said to Clive that at the end of the day if you want a serious go at the King George for a fifth time, are we going to leave the race behind if we go to Newbury and take that chance," Nicholls said. "There's nothing wrong with him running at Newbury. With so many out of the weights it would suit him, but if you really want to go for a fifth King George, you are taking the risk of leaving it behind. "We are going to have to think about that and have a chat tomorrow."
