Colin Keane completed a double on the evening when guiding the Ger Lyons-trained Ocean's Breath to a straightforward success in the Dundalk Stadium Open All Summer Maiden.

A twice-raced Bated Breath colt, the Vincent Gaul-owned three-year-old was sent to post a well-backed 4/7f to register an initial success.

Keane kept it simple on the market leader, chasing Basilano in second, before taking over in front with a furlong left.

Pushed out inside the final furlong, Ocean's Breath beat the David Marnane-trained Allsortz by three lengths.

Assistant trainer Shane Lyons said: "He was very professional and we are delighted for Vincent and Geraldine (Gaul). They are great supporters of the yard.

"We'll see how he comes out of the race and see what mark he gets - that will tell us the route he will go.

"He has gone with cut in the ground because we were running out of time last year to get a run into him. He was a big-framed horse. He has reaped the benefit of those two runs.

"Colin says that he attacked that ground well and he is a very good mover."
