Eddie Lynam seemed determined to win The Grimes Maiden in Bellewstown as he saddled three of the six runners and it was Keke who came home best to give Colin Keane a double.

The Dandy Man colt delivered his challenge on the run to the final furlong and got the better of 2/1 favourite Rathbranchurch in the final 100 yards to win by three-parts of a length.

Keane said: "He had a good run the last day (in second at Down Royal). Eddie said once you get him relaxed he is very straightforward.

"In the first furlong he was on it a fraction but he switched off and travelled through it well and was probably only doing enough when he got there."

Lynam's other representatives Cross Border and Bear Cub finished third and sixth respectively.

Keane also landed the opening claiming maiden on Miss McHenry for his boss Ger Lyons.
