Givehertilxmas has hit a rich vein of form in the visor on slower ground and followed up on a Bellewstown success in the concluding seven furlong handicap at the Curragh.

Jack Kearney, partnering a double on the card, guided her to the front inside the final furlong and she was game and resolute in seeing it out by a length and a half at 11/1. Eichan San (7/1) was a head in front of Dolly Hello (14/1) while Free Solo was a neck further back in fourth at 33/1.

Gerry Keane said: "She seems to have improved plenty for that ground. I was a bit disappointed with her in Fairyhouse, but the ground dried up a lot that day. That was probably her worst ride since the boys took her over.

"She ran really well on soft ground in Bellewstown and she backed it up today. She's in here again on Tuesday. We'll see how she comes out of this. If she runs, it will probably be her last run of the year. We tried her in Dundalk last year and she didn't seem to cope that well."

Kearney rode out his claim with this winner. He scored earlier on the card on Even Par at 25/1.

He said: "That's the claim finished, so it's a nice box ticked.

"It was always in my sights to keep nibbling at it throughout the year and the last two winners were slow coming, but we got them on the same day which is nice."
