Kearney scores for Lyons on Moyglare homebred Evening Blues (3/1, having been morning favourite at 6/4) just held on for a narrow success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Colts & Geldings) Maiden at Dundalk. Owned and bred by Moyglare Stud Farm, the gelded son of Blue Point had been runner-up over seven furlongs here on his previous start.  Soon racing in second under Jack Kearney, the 86-rated winner hit the front entering the straight and, despite edging right inside the final furlong, clung on for a short-head victory over Minella Rocket.  Backed into 13/8 favouritism, Golden Trigger was a further half a length back in third.  Kearney said: "Very tough draw (in stall 16).   "The last day, Gary Carroll told me all he does is lengthen. I think he's a horse that thinks he is quicker than he is.  "He's after coming there now since he was gelded and that has been a massive improvement. "He loves this surface and, to be fair to him, he gave me a lovely ride there today. I got a bit of a sit into him before we kicked.  "In fairness to him, he kept going. He put his head down, had a bit of a look and lugged to the right a small bit. Once I got stuck into him, he straightened up and was good and game. "I think he will mix it between seven (furlongs) and a mile, but there today he looks like a proper miler."  Additional reporting by Michael Graham
