Henry de Bromhead has Kempton in mind for Put The Kettle On after her victory in the Grade 2 Shloer Chase at Cheltenham last weekend.

The six-year-old mare is on a four-timer after three Cheltenham victories, including in last season's Grade One Arkle at the festival.

He also raised the prospect of the daughter of Stowaway potentially clashing this season with double Grade One winner Notebook, who returned with a 12-length victory in the Grade 2 Poplar Square Steeplechase at Naas yesterday.

“Put The Kettle On might go to Kempton (for the Grade 2 Desert Orchid Chase). She seems to love travelling and that was one race on my mind," the trainer said.

“Ideally we would like to keep her and Notebook apart but if we have to (run against each other) we will.

“I’ll have to talk with the Dermodys (One For Luck Racing Syndicate) and see what they would like to do but they get half penalties in that race, like the Shloer, so it might be a nice race to go for. We’ll see nearer the time.”

Put The Kettle On has won eight of her 14 races under rules, across hurdles and fences.
