Kennedy out of luck on his return to the saddle Jack Kennedy had to settle for a pair of runner-up berths on his return to the saddle in Cartmel yesterday, however, his boss Gordon Elliott was successful with long odds-on favourite An Mhi at Uttoxeter. Kennedy has been out since breaking his leg at Naas in January and returned with three rides for Elliott. He finished second aboard New Year Honours in the mares' novices' hurdle and on Arctic Ambition in the extended 2m5f handicap chase. Elliott sent six horses over to Uttoxeter and returned with a winner when Sean Bowen steered An Mhi home by an easy 17 lengths in the opening novices' hurdle. Meanwhile, Cian Collins had his first runner in Cartmel yesterday and it proved to be a fruitful trip as Fiveonefive delivered by a head under Denis O'Regan in the £40,000 handicap hurdle.
