Kennedy returns to the saddle at Tipperary this afternoon Jack Kennedy makes a welcome return to action following over three months on the sidelines with three rides for his boss Gordon Elliott on an all-chase card at Tipperary this afternoon. The former champion jumps jockey has suffered a series of leg fractures throughout his career and having returned from injury to ride at this year’s Cheltenham Festival, decided to take a lengthy break to regain full fitness. Kennedy has mounts aboard Royal Eagle, Lakota Blue and St Cuthbert’s Cave in the final three races on the card. The going at Tipperary is currently yielding, good to yielding in places, with the first on an eight-race card getting underway at 1.48pm. Watering has ceased on the chase course following 4mm of rain overnight. Racing also takes place at Roscommon this evening with a seven-race Flat card featuring the Listed Watch Racing TV Irish EBF Lenebane Stakes at 7.38. The going at the mid-western venue is now soft following 17mm of rain with the slight possibility of further light rain today.
